1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
“People often base their self-concept on their accomplishments. But our relationship with Christ is far more important than our jobs, successes, wealth, or knowledge. We have been chosen by God as his very own, and we have been called to represent him to others. Remember that your value comes from being one of God’s children, not from what you can achieve. You have worth because of what God does, not because of what you do.” Taken from the Life Application Notes
I stand in awe at what God has done. He has chosen you and me to do a work for Him that not you or I could do like no other.
Yet He has called us to be holy, set apart, to be pure and upright before Him. (2 Cor 6:17) Without spot, wrinkle or blame. (Eph 5:27)
It amazes me that we, you and I, have been chosen by God because He saw something in us. When He saw that potential of doing what it is He desires of us, He graciously has poured out His mercy upon us. (verse 10) God showed us mercy and spared nothing in giving that mercy to us. Totally and completely overwhelming.
God is so good. Lord bless you and may his grace be revealed to you as you see the hope that rises in you though our Lord and Saviour, Jesus.
