The New Year Is Here So What Is Next?

I don’t know what is in store for this year of 2012. there has been a lot of talk of many things already and we are just in the third day of the new year.

Sitting at my desk. Sketch by Candy Clonts

So…..Here are a few of my thought from today.

There has been much scepticism of this year, 2012. The Mayan calendar. The movie 2012…amongst other things.

Remember back in year 2000 the Y2K? There was fear in people…mostly due to the media. We were told everything was going to stop. All the computers were going to go “hay-wire” and we were going to lose every piece of data that held every piece of information on any and every thing. But it didn’t  happen. We began to think…ummmm….now what will “they” conger up to try to get us to believe. We people are really gullible, so the media thinks.

There is fear rising in people once again, because of the “hoopla” being once again talked about.

Well people need to fear. Jesus is coming back. When!?! I do not know. We have been living in a GRACE period for the past 2000 years plus. There is something that  is about to take place, Mayan calendar, movies, media or anything else may say…God has said this WILL take place….the Second Coming of His Son, Christ Jesus the Messiah. This is also called the Rapture.

Luke 21:28
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Two will be walking, one taken and one left behind.

Matthew 24:40-44
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

2 Corinthians 11:2-3
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

 Ephesians 5:25-27
25  …..even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

His promises are sure, tried and true!

2 Peter 3:8-14
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Revelation 4:1
1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Revelation 16:15
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Christ will catch His Bride away. The opportunity is for all that love His appearing.

Revelation 19:7-9
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Revelation 22:7
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Revelation 22:12-14,  16-17
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.  16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

To be honest with you I do not know what is next for 2012. I don’t know when Jesus is returning. I do know I want to be ready for His soon coming. Yes, people have said Jesus is going to come back to catch His bride away fo rover 2000 years, but we are in a GRACE period, if you have looked at prophecy and dispensations of biblical times you will know a little about what i am saying. This is a whole other subject though. The Bible tells us to be ready is to love HIs appearing. I believe if we love His appearing, we will lay aside all that weighs us down and distracts us from Him and desiring to spend eternity with Him. (Hebrews 12:1,2)

One day the clouds will open up and there will be a door being opened for all those who have been dilegent in waiting for His coming.

 2 Timothy 4:8
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

We need to be waiting, watching, ready and love Him and His appearing. I am not trying to prove anything to you nor persuade you to think any way. I thought I would share a few Scriptures with you this evening on what I have thought and meditating on.

Mark 13:32-37  (Amplified Bible)
32 But of that day or that hour not a [single] person knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be on your guard [constantly alert], and watch and pray; for you do not know when the time will come. 34 It is like a man [already] going on a journey; when he leaves home, he puts his servants in charge, each with his particular task, and he gives orders to the doorkeeper to be constantly alert and on the watch. 35 Therefore watch (give strict attention, be cautious and alert), for you do not know when the Master of the house is coming—in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning— 36 [Watch, I say] lest He come suddenly and unexpectedly and find you asleep. 37 And what I say to you I say to everybody: Watch (give strict attention, be cautious, active, and alert)!

Blessings to you. My God’s grace fill you as you walk in the hope of His soon coming.

The Bride of Christ....
