Forgiving Yourself

The Lord does NOt want or desire for us to be held in any bondage; held captive to any situation or circumstance; of our making or otherwise. When we become enslaved to a situation, there is NO freedom. We are bound and not free to freely fellowship with Jesus, worship Him or enter into His fullness for our lives. Nor are we able to have fellowship with fellow saints as we ought to. This is FLESH vs SPIRIT

John 8:36 (KJV)
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

John 8:36 (Amplified Bible)
So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.

Freedon brings joy in the midst of the storm.

I put both KJV and the Amplified verses here to show we are free; we can and need to forgive ourselves.

This verse is a choice! The Lord has provided and blessed us with this freedom at the cross. We chose to believe it or not. We chose to walk in it or not. Chose to be set free from your hinderance in this life…that hinderance is more than likely yourself…on so many levels…it is for me…I know I am not the only one that suffers from this epidemic.

I want to explain a little to where this has come from. We can forgive others, as we know by scripture we are to do this. Many times we are not able to let go of things, when we have been hurt, because we blame ourselves. What could I have done different? Why did I not see this? How could I have prevented this? And so on. I believe you know where I am coming from here.

Forgiveness of others ~ just a reminder ~ 🙂

(Mark 11:22-26 (Amplified Bible)
And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. 23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. 24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. 25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.)

I would like to add, this does not negate that someone else was at fault; maybe they were, but the Lord is interested in YOUR heart ~ MY heart. There will be times we need to apologize for our actions, thoughts….. and do this before others, so we can experience the fullness of this freedom Jesus has intended us to live and walk in ~ everyday. (James 5:16 (KJV)
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.)

This freedom is such a wonderful healing of the hand of God in our lives.

As we seek the Lord to forgive others, we need to ask the Lord to help us to know what we need to learn in this situation and then as we don’t put blame others (forgiveness), we need to let go and forgive myself.

I trust you will understand what I am saying here. There are circumstances I do not feel I can go into, I am sure I have not been the only one who has had to learn this lesson….more than once. 😦

Lord gives and takes away, BUT He will bless us as we obey.

Once we do, we are set free from such a bondage like we have never known before. Free, love this word – liberated – no questions asked, it is completed – finished – VICTORY in Jesus, our Saviour. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your great longsuffering with me…each one of us.

FREEDOM from bondage (of any sort) is absolutely liberating. (Liberating is ~ Set free from; to set free (as from slavery or confinement); Freedom from a debilitating situation – the weight of IT is gone once we experience God’s freedom. Wow!) 😀 Praise the Lord.

Lord bless you all as you seek Him for your situations. Enter into what the Lord has for you and you will experience His wonderful grace and hope for each day. It is liberation to walk in His hope and grace. ❤ & /\’s 2 U!
