Apricot & Strawberry ‘Donuts’ fixed this morning. – Picture by Candy Clonts

1 can Pillsbury Grands Biscuits, the brand I used this morning, but have used store brands and they work just as well

1/4 cup melted butter, in a shallow bowl

1/2 cup sugar

1 Tablespoon cinnamon

*about a 1/3 cup of favorite jam-each biscuit will need 1 teaspoon

Set oven to 350 degrees.

Remove biscuits from the can and separate. Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl. On a large cookie sheet place a sheet o foil to cover the bottom of your cookie sheet. Dip biscuits into butter and coat both sides. coat both sides also with the cinnamon and sugar. Place on the cookie sheet. Make a deep quarter size indentation in your biscuits (like with the end of a small rolling-pin or use you thumb to make this indentation-dip in the biscuit-BE CAREFUL NOT TO GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH) and fill each ’hole’ with a teaspoon of your favorite jam. Bake for 15 -18 minutes. remove from oven. Allow ‘donuts’ to cool about 3-4 minutes before you remove from cookie sheet. Remember jam will be hot. Serve. Leftover ‘donuts’ can be put in an air tight container for 3-5 day if put in the fridge. Warm ‘donut’ in microwave for 20 seconds and you have a ‘like new’ fresh ‘donut’.

*Any jam, jelly or preserves will work for these ‘donuts’. I have left them with the cinnamon and sugar and they are good just like that.
