Are you following the Cloud or under one?

I have missed chatting a spending time with you all. This is a little glimpse of what the Lord has been dealing with me about the past several day. I trust it will spak to you as it has to me. 🙂

Numbers 9:20-23 (KJV) And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the Lord they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the Lord they journeyed. And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed. Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed. At the commandment of the Lord they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the Lord they journeyed: they kept the charge of the Lord, at the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

Are you being led by a cloud or are you under a cloud? The cloud and pillar of fire represented the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit was leading Israel and they followed. At the command of he Lord the people packed up, journeyed, stopped, stayed and rested in Him. No matter how long the cloud or pillar of fire stayed in one place or moved, so did the people. It could have been for a day or two or it could have been months. The Spirit led them, they followed

The Lord desires us to choose to allow the Holy Spirit to move us in like manner. We are to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives just as Israel was led by the cloud. If we are not being led by the spirit we are under a cloud. Under a cloud of spiritual dullness and insensitivity. We will miss out on God’s fullness, His sustaining power, convictions and so much more. We chose to follow the ‘cloud’ of directions and purpose for our live or we chose to live under a cloud of oppression and indifference.
