Ok, ready set go…..

Wow today has been a scorcher just as the past month has been. Even though Arizona is a dry heat it is still down right hot. Right now at 3:25 PM it is 107 outside and it is only supposed to get to 108….we shall see. The weekendis to get cooler and we are expecting clouds and maybe a few scatterd showers. No this is not a weather report.  I am tell you this to get to my point of this message.

My point is we are having our annual family church camp nxt week. We took our travel trailer up there the othr day to start getting read…, one hour away and we dropped 30+ degrees, 107 down to 73. It is cooler on the mtn. and we are going to spend that time in fellowship with church fmily, family, friends and the Lord Jesus.

I am looking forward to what the Lord has for us, for me. It is always a blessing to watch the spirit of God move in lives as we set aside one week to specifically get with Jesus.

Israel did this as a symbol to remember how the Lord brought them out of Egypt and looking forward to where He was goingto take them….this was the Feast of Tabernacles.

God wanted to speak to them so they would get to know Him in a way they hd not before. Now is the time to set ourselves apart unto Him and know He is our God.

I would like to leave you with the scripture where Israel left their tents they lived in ad built booths, temporary housing to get alone, away from the everyday grind, the demands of life and their duties to be with the Lord.

OKAY. STOP…my time is up. I can fix my mistakes from here on…. 🙂

This was a make shift dwelling for a few of our single guys at church camp last year. They put it up…they were so proud of thier job well done…since none of these guys had ever camped before. 🙂

This is what I want to leave you with…set yourself apart unto the Lord for a period of time so you may know Him and what He desires for you.

Leviticus 23:41-44 (KJV) And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: 43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. 44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

It is a time of celebration. God has brought us out from our sin and into His wonderful Light. He has prepared a future for us with Hm in the heavens with His Father for eternity….us and Them…words can not describe this. Rejoice in the Lord, look forward to what He wants to get rid of in our lives so we can have sweet fellowship with Him…this is a time of reflection, renewal, change, choices, repentance, forgiveness, worship and so much more. Praise God!  I believe He desires this time with us more than we do.

Lord bless you, until next time….
