Lifes Raging Seas

There are times when our circumstances get the best of us. We react badly. We get angry. We lose control. Our lives seem like sea waters splashing against the rocks when other people’s lives seem to sunny and great….but mine, yours, is all in termoial.

Sea waters splash against the rocks

Sea waters splash against the rocks

Here is the King James Version:  Exodus 14:13-14 13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

We all know what happen when Israel came up against the Red Sea and the Egyptian hot on their tails in anger. Fear set in the hearts of Isreal. They are now angry with Moses and they turn on him complaining, saying all this was his fault and so on. Verse 14 tells us of Moses’ response.

I found this version of this verse and it set me back. It was like, WOW!

This is from the Message: Exodus 14:14  14 God will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut!”

Even though life around us may seem good, yet ours is in an uproar, it doesn’t need to shake us. We feel as if we are being chased by the enemy and up against an impossibility, like the Red Sea. But we are looking at everything naturally.

BUT, you don’t get it. You don’t know what I am up against and what I’m facing. You don’t know what people are doing and saying. My life…….has it’s storms also.

NO I DO NOT KNOW…..BUT THE LORD KNOWS EVERY DETAIL. He knows everything that is behind, in front of you and what you tink and feel and how others are treating you.

Jesus knows. He is full of compassion and merrcy. Trust HIm. Psalms 145:8-9 (KJV)

Jesus knows. He is full of compassion and mercy. Trust Him.                                                          Psalms 145:8-9 (KJV)
The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

God is no different today than He was yesterday for Israel as they faced these circumstances.

God wants to calm our seas of life. But, we have to allow Him in to do so. If we are tired of the fight of faith then we are allowing satan to win this battle.

Isaiah 40:27-31 (The Living Bible) 27 O Jacob, O Israel, how can you say that the Lord doesn’t see your troubles and isn’t being fair? 28 Don’t you yet understand? Don’t you know by now that the everlasting God, the Creator of the farthest parts of the earth, never grows faint or weary? No one can fathom the depths of his understanding. 29 He gives power to the tired and worn out, and strength to the weak. 30 Even the youths shall be exhausted, and the young men will all give up. 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

We are safe in Christ. Why do we fear and complain against Him? Luke 7:13 (KJV)

We are safe in Christ. Why do we fear and complain against Him? Luke 7:13 (KJV)
13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. ….the Lord Jesus gave life here. He will to us also.

Do you get all that is being said here. I am not sure I grasp all that the Lord is saying here, but I know the Word is truth. I am asking Jesus to reveal the fullness of His Word to me, I want to know and understand all He is telling me.

The Lord is the God of the calming of the Sea. Trust in Him. This is all we have as Christians.

Mark 4:37-41 (KJV) 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

If all our seas were calm, we would not learn or know Jesus. “A ships purpose is not to stay in the harbor, but to set sail into the sea, even the storms of the sea.” God is our ship maker and He has equipped us with all the necessities we need to set sail…Jesus.

Jesus is with us inthe midst of lifes storms.

Jesus is with us in the midst of life’s storms.

Do not let life’s storms over take you.

Psalms 124:4-5, 8 (AMP) 4 Then the waters would have overwhelmed us and swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us; 5 Then the proud waters would have gone over us. 8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

Psalms 57:1-3 (NKJV) 1 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by. 2 I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me. 3 He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.

Never lose sight of the Love of God for you. He is always with you. He has always loved you and always will. Jeremiah 31:3 (AMP) 3 The Lord appeared from of old to me [Israel], saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.

You are never alone.

You are never alone.

Remember you are not the only one going through storms of life.

God each one of. Look unto Jesus.

Lord bless you and I will be praying for you. As I am going through storms of life I am not alone, you are battling there beside me as I am with you.

The grace and hope of Jesus be with you.
