What we choose to do or say today will affect our tomorrows.
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for [it is] time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
We choose what we want to put into our lives. Gods desire is we would plant good seed, walk in righteousness not in the flesh. If, when, we find ourselves seeking to given to and please our flesh, we are instructed to STOP. To break up the fallow ground of our hearts; those hard and stony places we have left untouched. We all have done this. We know what places in our hearts that we don’t want touched. God tells us to BREAK IT UP. Now, today is the day to seek The Lord . Today and every day. It’s says TIL HE COME.
So don’t grow weary of doing what is right before God, He desires to bless you (and me). (Gal 6:9) He wants to rain down, pour out, His righteousness upon us. His righteousness!
Yes we received His righteousness at salvation, but this is more. This is our reward with Him. This is sharing in a wonderful union with Him…for eternity.
Today and our tomorrows we reap what we have down today or in our yesterdays. We also have an eternal reaping of what we have sown here on earth also. (Matthew 18:18)
We choose life or death in all our daily choices we choose to make, good, bad or indifferent. (Duet. 30:15-19)
This is a favorite set of scriptures that show us many things, but here we see a choices being made. What will you choose?
Luke 11:38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Choose righteousness. Choose life.
Lord bless you. Until next time, trusting you are entering into the life of Christ as He so desires to have with you.
