5 Minute Friday: A Day With My Daughter

We write because we love words and the relief it is to just write them without worrying if they’re just right or not. So we take five minutes on Friday and write like we used to run when we were kids.

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking

OK, are you ready? Give me your best five minutes on:

A DAY WITH MY DAUGHTER!

Thank you Lord for my beautiful daughter. Lord You have blessed me in so many ways.

Today we went to the city, looking for a dress for her 8th grade graduation. My poor girl is not a shopper. Let alone trying to try stuff on. But she was a great trooper today. I was so proud of her.

She tried on a few really nice formals…more formal than she probably would ever where…but I shouldn’t say that, Lord knows things could change. 🙂

She found a cute black black dress, the skirt has two teirs of beige and sage green with a lace cover up top for the thin shoulder straps. It is cute on her. She likes it. That is a triumph.

Went and got some thing to eat and took it to our room and sat on our beds having a picnic and watching a  bit of TV together…

My time is about up. I don’t know what tomorrw may hold, but I know One Who does. Thank You Lord for the time I am having with her.

Now we are crashing….My girl was sleeping until I made a little noise getting my camera. She is tired. Not only from shopping but she had a school event last night that she and a bunch of friends stayed up all night.

Ok, my time is up. I thank you  all for taking time to share my day with you in just 5 minutes.

Lord bless you, until next time.
