*(I will make reference to “man,” but this is referring to all men, women, and children.)
Thank You Father for Your great gift of Your Son. You loved us so You had a plan from the beginning. You knew man (Adam and Eve) would sooner or later go against what You asked of them. (sin) You and Your Son prepared a plan; a way for man. There was a temporary “fix,” if you will, through the sacrifice of an animal so that man’s sin would be rolled ahead for another year, blood had to be shed for the sin of man. What grace and mercy you showed to man-kind in the days of the Old Testament. You gave man a picture of hope to look forward to the greatest sacrifice for man.
The greatest sacrifice of all, Your Son. You sent him here to earth as a baby. You watched Him grow. You watched Him play and learn the trade of a carpenter. You led Him to choose his followers, His disciples. You taught Him to listen to You even though He was God, He still was man and had a will of His own. Your Son, Jesus, chose to do Your will, the will of His Heavenly Father, rather tan His own. Jesus set a great standard for all to follow. Obedience.
You knew just as well as Jesus did what was ahead of Him, at the end of His ministry here on earth. You both knew what He was to face the last week of His life. You both also knew it was needed and why. Man needed a redeemer, the ultimate sacrifice for man’s sin. You knew in order to have unhindered fellowship with man, the ultimate sacrifice had to be done. You both also knew in order for Jesus to have a Bride one day she needed to be ready, watching and set apart giving herself wholly unto Your Son. You Father, wanted your Son, Jesus, to have a beautiful relationship with the human race, but only could that be achieved through the ultimate sacrifice of Your son.
I thank You and Praise You it didn’t just stop there with the death of Your son on the cross. He rose from that darkened tomb.
But we also had a marvelous picture of what was to come as Your Son hung there on that cruel cross. the thief beside Him asked for forgiveness and if Jesus would remember him. Jesus reply to that man was so wonderful, “This day you will see me in paradise.” This ought to take ones breath away. Jesus showed love and mercy on the cross. Jesus forgave him and told him, he would be in paradise with Jesus. This is a picture of our hope we have in Him today.
No longer is Jesus in that darkened tomb, nor has He been there for over 2000 years. HE HAS RISEN! Jesus has risen that we may have life, an abundant life in Him.
I urge you if you are reading this and you do not know Jesus as Savior, ask Him to come into your heart and life. How? It is so easy, and if you would bear with me and read these Scriptures first, they may help you.
Jeremiah 31:3 (New King James)
…”Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you.
Romans 3:23 (New King James)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
John 3:16-18 (American Standard Version)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him. 18 He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Romans 8:1-9 (God’s Word)
So those who are believers in Christ Jesus can no longer be condemned. 2 The standards of the Spirit, who gives life through Christ Jesus, have set you free from the standards of sin and death. 3 It is impossible to do what God’s standards demand because of the weakness our human nature has. But God sent his Son to have a human nature as sinners have and to pay for sin. That way God condemned sin in our corrupt nature. 4 Therefore, we, who do not live by our corrupt nature but by our spiritual nature, are able to meet God’s standards. 5 Those who live by the corrupt nature have the corrupt nature’s attitude. But those who live by the spiritual nature have the spiritual nature’s attitude. 6 The corrupt nature’s attitude leads to death. But the spiritual nature’s attitude leads to life and peace. 7 This is so because the corrupt nature has a hostile attitude toward God. It refuses to place itself under the authority of God’s standards because it can’t. 8 Those who are under the control of the corrupt nature can’t please God. 9 But if God’s Spirit lives in you, you are under the control of your spiritual nature, not your corrupt nature. Whoever doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ doesn’t belong to him.
Jeremiah 33:3 (New King James)
‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Everyone needs the Savior, Jesus.
Here is a scenario of a possible thought process you may want to consider. 1) Are you tired of living the life you are living or do you know and feel you have an emptiness or lost feeling that nothing seems to fill, then you need Jesus. 2) Desire to know Jesus as Savior. 3) Tell Jesus you need Him. 4) Recognize you have sinned (done wrong) and you want a new beginning in life. 5) Tell Jesus you know you have sinned and can’t make things right on your own you need Him. You need Him to come into your life and live in your heart. 6) Don’t worry about changing your life, THAT IS GOD’S BUSINESS TO CHANGE US. 7) You talk with Him (pray) and He will hear you. Believe it, believe what you have just prayed and Jesus will do the rest. Here is your basic introduction to salvation. If you have any questions please feel free to send a comment and I will answer the best I know how.
