Verse for the day

John 13:17
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

We are happy, content, blessed, fortunate if we do what? Take the time to read the above verses in John 13 and you will understand more of what Jesus is talking about.

We are going to be blessed and happy as we serve one another. Jesus came to earth and what did He did, He served the people. He was asked and required to do things for others, that is serving. Jesus did not come here to please Himself but to help others. Jesus did come here to show ones the Father and the way to eternal life, is that not serving others. Yes it is a service. It is showing and leading others in the way they ought to go.

We are to also serve one another. We were not put here to satisfy ourselves and make a prosperous life for self, but to serve. We are to be at the Fathers business and pleasure, not seeking our own gratification.

Jesus washed the disciples feet, that was a servants job. People called on Him to do many things and those were mostly required of servants. Jesus also served His Father, He did what the Father asked of Him, He obeyed in His serves to the Father, not choosing His will.

Today as you sit and contemplate “what am I to do?” Think of how you may serve the Lord by serving and doing for some one else. This will give you a hope like you have never experienced and God’s grace will be poured out upon you like a great fountain. Don’t serve someone for this reason, but do it because this is what the Lord has asked of you.

God bless you and have a blessed and wonderful day. Until later…..much love in and through our Savior, Jesus.

The Heart Of A Woman

I found this story, I do not know who wrote it or wher it originally came from, but I liked it enough to share it with you.

I just say a post on my face book account with a picture of a new book just published (a joke of course) and just hit the book stores, “Understanding Woman”. This book is shown about 2 feet thick. It makes you stop and think a bit. I will grant you that the woman is a very complex, hard to figure out ceature. God created us as am individual and not all women cry or are emotional or whatever at the drop of the hat. As for me, my dear husband and children would have to say I am all the above. Praise God I am not in this ‘boat’ alone, there are many of us out there with these same ‘problems’ as others may discribe us. I say, be careful when you catigorize ANYONE,  you may find your self in thier shoes one day.

This little story talks about why a mom (woman) cries, here are a few scriptures I looked at that spoke about crying…shedding tears. Those of us that do cry easily or often, be encouraged, God sees our tears and know why we shed them and He is our great comforter.

Psalms 56:8 (KJV)
Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

Psalms 126:5-6 (KJV)
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

 Psalms 126:5-6 (NLT)
Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. 6 They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest

 Micah 7:6-7 (KJV)
For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house. 7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

John 14:18 (KJV)
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

 John 14:26-27 (KJV)
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

 Revelation 21:4-5 (KJV)
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

The Heart Of A Woman

A little boy asked his mother, “Why are you crying?” “Because I’m a woman,” she told him.

“I don’t understand,” he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, “And you never will.”

Later the little boy asked his father, “Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?”

… “All women cry for no reason,” was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, “God, why do women cry so easily?”

God said, “When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a persistance that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.”

“You see my son,” said God, “the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart – the place where love resides.”

THE BEST DISCRIPTION A OF A MOM OR WOMAN OF GOD

Proverbs 31:10-31 (Amplified Bible)
A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman—who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he has no lack of [honest] gain or need of [dishonest] spoil. 12 She comforts, encourages, and does him only good as long as there is life within her. 13 She seeks out wool and flax and works with willing hands [to develop it]. 14 She is like the merchant ships loaded with foodstuffs; she brings her household’s food from a far [country]. 15 She rises while it is yet night and gets [spiritual] food for her household and assigns her maids their tasks. 16 She considers a [new] field before she buys or accepts it [expanding prudently and not courting neglect of her present duties by assuming other duties]; with her savings [of time and strength] she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard. 17 She girds herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] and makes her arms strong and firm. 18 She tastes and sees that her gain from work [with and for God] is good; her lamp goes not out, but it burns on continually through the night [of trouble, privation, or sorrow, warning away fear, doubt, and distrust]. 19 She lays her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. 20 She opens her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches out her filled hands to the needy [whether in body, mind, or spirit]. 21 She fears not the snow for her family, for all her household are doubly clothed in scarlet. 22 She makes for herself coverlets, cushions, and rugs of tapestry. Her clothing is of linen, pure and fine, and of purple [such as that of which the clothing of the priests and the hallowed cloths of the temple were made]. 23 Her husband is known in the [city’s] gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes fine linen garments and leads others to buy them; she delivers to the merchants girdles [or sashes that free one up for service]. 25 Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future [the latter day or time to come, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it]! 26 She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction]. 27 She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied); and her husband boasts of and praises her, [saying], 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness], but you excel them all. 30 Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised! 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city]!

God bless you and may this bring hope to you and grace your day.
